BC Parks - Vancouver Island Camping Welcome to the laid-back life on the islands, where getting here is a breathtaking scenic adventure in itself. Various BC Ferry routes and Washington State ferries are conveniently scheduled to get you to Vancouver Island and the Gulf and Discovery Islands. (For complete schedules contact BC Ferries at www.bcferries.bc.ca and Washington State Ferries at www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries). While aboard the ferries, visitors get their first glimpse of the beautiful marine landscape that surrounds the Island, and may be lucky enough to encounter a migrating pod of whales or have dolphins lead the ferry into port. Once you have landed on the Island, no matter which way you turn, there will always be a spectacular Provincial Park nearby for camping and/or exploring.
